Many of us recall that worried warning from the nervous rabbit, or the later Chicken Little version, in the stories from our youth. That same message is being sounded again by the likes of Al Gore with his movie "An Inconvenient Truth."

How do you explain this? Movie star Leonardo DiCaprio turns Chicken Little for the environment and makes the big movie to alert us all of pending ecological disaster. At the same time, his own industry (Hollywood) is using rain forest wood to make movie sets. Yet, big movie star turned eco-warrior doesn't see that as a problem.

Chicken Little (2005) is a computer-generated imagery (CGI) animated film and the forty-fifth animated feature made and produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures and Buena Vista Distribution on November 4, 2005. It was written by Mark Dindal and Mark Kennedy with the screenplay by Steve Bencich, Ron J. Friedman, and Ron Anderson and directed by Mark Dindal. The film was animated in-house at WDFA's main headquarters in Burbank, California. It inspired two video games, one directly based on the movie, the other, Chicken Little: Ace in Action, based on the inaccurate "movie-within-the-movie" depicting Little as a buff action hero.This was Disney's first all-CG picture as well as the first 3D computer animated movie in the world, and the start of their ceasing production of traditionally-animated films (Pixar's films were distributed but not produced by Disney, and Dinosaur was a combination of live-action and computer animation). However, the company has since announced that they will return to traditional animation with The Princess and the Frog in 2009. It will make it's world television premiere on Disney Channel on February 8, 2008, part of "Phineas and Ferb-ruary"
