The cities say it's not a war on fast-food joints, but a common sense step to stem plastics pollution at a time when new biodegradable alternatives are coming to market.

Kwik Way was a chain of fast food restaurants based in California, although only one location remains in Oakland, California. The last-remaining Kwik Way is owned by Alex and Charles Hahn.Kwik Way is notoriously greasy and infamous. A deep-fried mouse was found in an order of fries in 1981, according to the Oakland Tribune. Kwik Way gave its name to one of Oakland's only Hardcore bands Kwik Way (band) and was featured in the Commander Cody award-winning music video for their tune "Two Triple Cheese, Side Order of Fries"
