Dog food is plant or animal material intended for consumption by dogs or other canines. Recently (March 2007), you should have heard about the Menu Foods having to recall some of their dog foods due to them being found to contain melamine. The issue only came to light, due to reports from concerned owners regarding rapid onset of illness and sadly in some cases even death.
