Curry County is a county located in the U.S. state of New Mexico. It population is approximately 45,044 (US Census, 2002). Its county seat is Clovis6. It is named in honor of George Curry, territorial governor of New Mexico from 1907 to 1910. It is located on the far eastern state line, adjacent to the state of Texas, forming part of the region of Eastern New Mexico.

update: After searches in Oregon's Curry and Douglas counties, new information on missing CNET senior editor James Kim and family is narrowing the search back to the Bear Camp area in Josephine County. A cell phone tower received a signal from one of the family's cell phones last Saturday near Glendale.
