Pork rind (known as pork scratchings in the United Kingdom) is the skin of a pig. Cooked, this may be either eaten warm with a meal, or served cold as a snack. In both forms any fat attached to the skin at the time of frying is absorbed in the process.

There was plenty of popcorn, ribs, bad domestic beer, and fried pork rinds with hot sauce on hand. The pork rinds, apparently the favorite of the American thug, ran out so quickly that one of the low-ranking gang members in attendance was dispatched to acquire several more bags.

Lard is back, and gaining momentum. The pork rind, or pork crackling, is the fried skin of a pig, and more and more people these days are turning to pork rinds as their snack food of choice.
