Robert James Ritchie (born January 17, 1971 in Romeo, Michigan), better known by his stage name Kid Rock, is an American musician and actor. Active since 1987 has a member of the Detroit hip hop group "The Beast Crew" , he has sold 22.5 million albums to date since is 1990 debut album "Grits Sandwiches For Breakfast". 1998's Devil Without A Cause would become the greatest selling hip hop album of all time, selling close to 12 million copies. In 2007, his album "Rock N Roll Jesus" was his first album to debut number one on the Billboard 200 charts. Built of the strength of its hit singles "So Hott" and "Amen".
