Robert William Flay is a fourth generation Irish-American, celebrity chef, and restaurateur. He is the owner and executive chef of five restaurants: Mesa Grill and Bar Americain in New York City, Mesa Grill Las Vegas (Caesars Palace), Mesa Grill Bahamas (Atlantis Paradise Island, Nassau), and Bobby Flay Steak (Atlantic City, New Jersey).Flay has hosted six Food Network television programs, and has appeared regularly on a seventh. He has appeared as a guest on other Food Network shows and has hosted a number of Food Network specials.

On the Food Network, Bobby Flay shows how to make tostones, or fried green plantains. Ask any Latino what tostones are (or patacones in South America) and they will know what you are talking about. I was watching the food network the other day and saw Bobby Flay throwdown with The Wing King. Bobby lost, but with his defeat, I learned some valuable lessons.

All about the hidden lies of his show, Throwdown. First of all, Food Network lies to the chefs, telling them that they want to do a show about them. At no time is Bobby Flay or a challenge mentioned. Just "we wanna do a show all about you". And once the cameras are rolling, in walks Flay - without warning - to challenge the chef to a cook-off.
