The term comfort food refers to a style of familiar, simple food or drink that is usually home-cooked, or consumed in informal restaurants.

The British government has been condemned by management of fast food "restaurants" McDonalds and Burger King after they unveiled plans to place labels on fast food packaging including images of Dawn French and Oprah Winfrey. The labels, which state: "This food will make you look like this" will be applied to all fast foods.
