Summer Pudding or Summer Fruit Pudding is a British dessert made of sliced white bread layered in a deep bowl with stewed or macerated berries. The dessert was popular from at least the early 20th century however there is no clear record of its origin.Making summer pudding is much easier if the bread is somewhat stale. This helps the fruit juices soak through the bread, which makes the pudding more pleasant. Poppies Popsicles were launched by sisters Sarah and Sophia Green who were inspired by childhood summers in Mexico. Their icy desserts combine unique flavors including alfalfa sprouts, chili, cucumber and hibiscus flowers, and are available exclusively at select farmer’s markets in LA.
